================================= CAPTIONS WITH THE FOUR ENERGY MONITOR DISPLAYS STARTING When accelerating from standstill, electric power is the main power source, which is supplied by the battery to the electric motor.
Since it develops greatest torque from low revs, it delivers outstanding acceleration remarkably quietly. NORMAL DRIVING The gasoline engine takes over during normal driving. Most of the engines power output provides driving force to the wheels, while some of the power is utilized to generate electricity to drive the electric motors. This ensures the engine operates at lower revs for exceptional quietness. HARD ACCELERATION The engine's total power output together with the electric motors work together during hard acceleration. This results in an extraordinary feeling of relentless acceleration quite unlike any conventional motorcycles. DECELERATION AND BRAKING (REGENERATIVE BRAKING) Energy which is normally lost when the motorcycle slows down or brakes is ingeniously captured by a system known as "regeneration", Regeneration allows the electric motors to function as a generator which captures this "kinetic" energy and convert it into electricity. This electrical energy then recharges the battery for later use by electric motor to drive you forward. |
